Chelsea “Amaya” Cameron is an Architectural Intern at Design2Form from Antigua, West Indies. She is a student at Florida International University pursuing her Master of Architecture, class of 2023. At FIU, she serves as Vice President of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) chapter for the School Year 2022-23.
Amaya is interested in Community Engaged Design and Urban Design. It is her intention, as she grows in the field, to create solutions that will respond to and address the issues that are being faced and how they can be integrated to serve its community always considering its historical and cultural attributes.
With the goal to become a registered architect, she hopes to use her vision to impact decisions necessary for the built environment. Some notable projects that she has worked on are Sistrunk Early Learning Center and YWCA Virtual Reality Metaverse Lab.
