Unique Design Characteristics or Major Space: The color scheme for the play structure and the basketball/volleyball courts is tied into the existing school colors and logo. Heavy consideration to the placement of the P,E, Shelter was given in order to maximize the natural breeze for students who would be using the shelter during the hot summers.
As part of Miami Dade County Public School’s (MDCPS’) General Obligation Bond, Design2Form had the pleasure to provide A/E services for Crestview Elementary School’s Physical Education (P.E.) Facilities upgrades. Specific Improvements included the demolition and replacement of an existing P.E. shelter with a new pre-fabricated glue-lam shelter. removal and replacement of existing basketball goals along with resurfacing and re-sealing of the existing basketball/volleyball courts.
Removal and replacement of existing playground and fitness equipment with a new play structure including an integrated umbrella shade canopy, artificial turf with perimeter concrete curbs, and chain-link fencing. Related improvements also included the pruning of trees and modification to grass areas to create swales for proper drainage.
